Plastic Project on TV

It was great a few months ago to film with CEFAS scientist Thomas Maes and Inside Out presenter David Whitely about marine plastic. We focused on where it comes from, the need for education and looking for it in fish. The feature was on BBC1 last night in the eastern region (head to iPlayer and look for 12th September Inside Out East), it’s available for a few months I believe and is well worth a watch.

CEFAS’ report was also released today and we’ll delve into that in more detail tomorrow, but it is both enlightening and shocking. Have a watch on iPlayer for more. I was also on BBC Radio Suffolk this morning (13th September) as they devoted their breakfast show to Marine Litter awareness. Education is the key, beyond anything else we have to stop plastic entering the ocean, it’s our main aim here at The Plastic Project and using surfing and adventure as the hook is really working so we’re stoked.
