The Week In Plastic
Who’d have thought we would be hi-fiving the Daily Mail, usually a tabloid more against everything we believe in than for it. But this week they have got right behind the need to totally ban micro beads from all cosmetics, and other related products. Good on them and along with loads of other coverage in the press public opinion is turning against what is the most unnecessary form of plastic pollution.
If you haven’t already, you really need to sign this petition by Surfers Against Sewage, reverse vending/deposit schemes are a simple and effective way of reducing plastic waste, just click the image.
Check the shot below, pretty interesting graphic on plastic mismanagement, click the shot to see seven more maps and info-graphs breaking down our plastic problem.
Finally this is happening all over the planet thankfully, but it’s especially important somewhere like India where the waste management of plastic is pretty horrific to say the least.
