Guest Post – Caithness

This is Hamper MacLeod, if you’re ever in Thurso on a good swell and Hamper isn’t working offshore, chances are you’ll see him getting pitted out at Thurso East. He lives just down the road from Thurso on an idyllic stretch of coast, it looks borderline tropical on sunny day like this. It’s also in an extremely high energy wave and tide environment, with some extreme currents, which actually keep the beaches relatively plastic and litter free on this little stretch.

However, look close enough and there it is, washed up in a little crevice stuck until the next storm or it it will sit there and start it’s long road to returning to small plastic pellets. If you have shots send them in, we’re going to build up a map of Europe with all these guest posts so keep them coming.
